South Florida Families Enjoy the Christina Kidz Family Picnic

A great time was had by all at the first annual Christina’s Kidz Family picnic for local families at Tropical Park in Miami on January 29, 2011. The group enjoyed a traditional hot dog and hamburger lunch, music, games, bike-riding, and, best of all, networking with old and new friends.

Thanks to Drs. Miguel and Adriana Reyes, parents of Christina Reyes, for their help in coordinating the event.  Christina, a brain tumor survivor and the inspiration for Christina’s Kidz, could not attend because she is away at dental school.

“It was so great to bring these special families together,” said BTFC’s Executive Director Mary Moore, who planned the picnic around her annual visit to Miami Children’s Hospital.
