BTFC Dad becomes “Zombie Dad”

Check out the cool things one of our amazing brain tumor dads is doing!  11ALive news recently ran a story about Jarod Mainland’s father, Larry Michael Mainland.   On a whim, he was an extra for the new television show The Walking Dead.  His scene was cut from the show, but his image was used to promote the show.  Seen in over 120 countries, his image has gained him worldwide recognition.

Larry has been unable to work a regular job since his son Jarod was diagnosed with a brain tumor and required surgery.  Larry is now Jarod’s primary caretaker.  Jarod’s mother, Rhonda, has had to maintain her employment to insure that the family has medical insurance.

Larry Michael Mainland ‘s story definitely speaks to the statement, “when one door closes, another opens.” Make sure you are on the lookout for our dear “Zombie Dad.”
