Elf Trot & Merry Mile to be held on December 4, 2010

Mark your calendars for December 4, 2010.  To honor the life of teenager Faith Cline, the first annual Elf Trot and Merry Mile will be held.  All proceeds will benefit the “Faith Cline Memorial Fund of the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children.”  The Fund assists children with brain tumors and their families.

The Elf Trot will begin at Kennesaw First Baptist Church and will end in downtown Kennesaw.  The race will run down Main Street to Swift Cantrell Park, making one loop around Swift Cantrell Park, and returning to downtown Kennesaw.  Women, men, boys and girls are invited to run, walk or stroll a 5K (3.1 miles).  Participants may also walk or run in the Merry Mile.  For the little children, there will be a Tot Trot starting at Big Shanty Barbershop and ending in downtown at 6:00 p.m.

Carollers from the Kennesaw Community Choir will be located throughout the course.  The Kennesaw Mountain High School ROTC will start the race.  The Kennesaw Mountain High School Choir will be at the finish line, singing the Halleluhah Chorus.

The race will begin as the Kennesaw’s Day with Santa is wrapping up. The first 500 participants will be given an Elf Mask.  Hot cider and roasted marshmallows will be served at the finish line party at Kennesaw First Baptist Church.

You can register at the website.  We hope to see you there!
