Cherokee Tribune Celebrates Childhood Cancer Month

BTFC was grateful that the Cherokee Tribune recently published an article on children with cancer, two of whom had brain tumors.

Jay Tucker, was 16 years old when he was diagnosed with a medulloblastoma.  During the next two years he underwent surgery, radiation and chemotherapy.  He has  a passion for motorcycles and is hoping to attend motorcycle mechanic’s school.  He was homeschooled and is now focused on earning his GED.

He has participated in William’s Walk and Run twice.

The Cherokee Tribune also spotlighted Lauren O’Prey, who now lives in Athens, GA.
