Katie Baughman Joins BTFC

Katie Baughman, our new office manager, is a native of Atlanta. She attended Centre College and Georgia State University where she recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology.  She played volleyball at Centre College and is a huge Kentucky Wildcats fan.

Katie has been a long time volunteer to many organizations around the Atlanta area. Her volunteer work and previous internship at Camp Twin Lakes encouraged her to follow her passion for helping children and working for a nonprofit, which ultimately led her to join BTFC’s staff in August 2010.

Katie says “I love the fact that we can help families, even if it’s only a little bit, during some of their hardest times. Just knowing that we can help ease some of their financial and emotional burdens is extremely rewarding.  Seeing many of the courageous children and families recently at William’s Walk & Run helped put everything I do in the office into perspective.”
