Team Sophie Bean Prepares for William’s Walk

The Walton Tribune just published an inspiring story on Sophia Buck, who lost her two year battle against craniopharyngioma.  Today her parents, Tina and Howard Buck, remember her through their efforts to support the brain tumor community.

They will participate in William’s Walk & Run again this year and will host a team of 41 people, all wearing yellow shirts with Sophie’s picture.

BTFC’s Butterfly Fund helped the Buck family during their journey – paying their taxes one year and helping with funeral costs.

In the Walton Tribune article, Tina is quoted as saying “The walk is our way of giving back.  It’s like a family reunion, even for us though we don’t have Sophie anymore. It stinks we are on this side of the fence, but to see the kids still surviving means the world to us.”
