Run for Those Who Can’t – Be a “Tumor Trooper”

Your great health allows you to run, which is such a blessing.  Imagine being a young child and unable to run, or even walk.  Brain tumors can have devastating consequences on small bodies.  Can you help fight the battle and be a Tumor Trooper?  Run in honor of a child who cannot participate due to illness or geographic distance.

William’s Walk & Run will take place on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010 during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and will honor the lives and memories of courageous children and angels in Alpharetta, GA.  We want to raise awareness and money to support BTFC’s important programs and services.

William’s Walk & Run will start at the Mansell Crossing Shopping Center (7730 North Point Pkwy; Alpharetta 30022).  Registration/check-in starts at 6:15 a.m., the walk starts at 7:30 a.m. and the 5K/10K runs will start at 8 a.m.  Please register online (www.firstgiving.com/btfc).  Please email Sherry sherry@braintumorkids.org if you can be a Tumor Trooper and will run in honor of a child.

These kids need your help – simply dressing them up in a runner’s shirt and runner’s shoes will not make their bodies healthy.  Only good quality medical care, support, and research can do heal these children!
